  • $500ish camera for corals..... I mean for the new baby....

Going to be picking up a new camera tomorrow and was wondering if anyone had any input/experience on a decent one for around $500. I was looking at the Nikons and Canons....

The other thing is my parents have a fancy canon that has a macro lens .... Are they compatible with Nikons? (I've read some posts saying they are and others that they aren't)

Do invest in good quality macro lens, don't need any fancy camera, just need one that you can adjust some simple ISO, Aperture and white balance. That's all you need.

Manufactured lens from nikons or canons are not interchangeable, there might some adapters you can tweak to make it work but won't give you quality pictures.

You can't go wrong with choosing either nikons or canon....both brands are exceptional but if your parents do have some canon lens and they are macros...do go with canons brand.

Good luck and show us some of your pics
